Our wonderful Patron. I don't think you could use any clearer definition of Beauceron to describe this guy. A true Jack of All Trades. His owner, Alissa, has given him every opportunity under the sun to shine. But, most importantly, he is a big brother to his four amazing kiddos. He came and spent several months with me, getting stranded during a layover and getting off the plane clear across the country without missing a step. He attended the 2022 Journee, where he was one of five males to be awarded an excellent plus rating. He then flew back home to Oregon and, once again, didn't miss a step, going to one of Portland's largest shows a few days later and walking away with several achievements. He has sired multiple titled progeny and is now a grandfather!

Patron has strong strengths that during the Journee really made him stand out. One that the judges highlighted strongly is that he is a masculine male. The feedback was that in the USA our males were too feminine at the 2022 Journee. He has a nice strong topline. His movement is clean and efficient, which is nice to see for his substance. His tail set is slightly high and causes higher than preferred carriage. His tail length is correct. He has a beautiful correct coat with lovely color. His rust is a rich red. I would like to see a more lay back to the shoulder and a better return of the upper arm. His width and depth of chest is correct. He has a nice underline to him. I would like to see a tad more rear angulation, but overall is a very balanced dog. His feet are slightly hare-shaped, but nice and tight. Pasterns are a hair short and he has slight turn out in the front. Hock length is nice to see with beautiful back feet. His head is made of equal proportions, but his stop is too pronounced with a rounded top skull. His lip is slightly dewy with a hint of a roman nose. His temperament, versatilty, and workabilty is above and beyond.
